Delisle Chiefs and the Regina Capitals of the Prairie Junior Hockey League (PJHL), have swapped goaltenders

Delisle, SK – The Delisle Chiefs and the Regina Capitals of the Prairie Junior Hockey League (PJHL), have swapped goaltenders.

The Chiefs have acquired the Hockey Canada playing rights of 2000 born goaltender, Shaemus MCLEOD (Saskatoon, SK), from the Capitals. In exchange, the Capitals will receive the Hockey Canada playing rights of 2000 born goaltender Jordan BERSCHIMINSKY (Saskatoon, SK). MCLEOD posted a regular season record of 16-4 with the Capitals in 2018-19. That included 2 shut-outs, a GAA of 2.41 and a .918 save percentage in 22 games played. In the playoffs, he went an unbeaten 6-0 and helped backstop the Capitals to the 2018-19 PJHL League Championship. His playoff stats were an impressive 1.67 GAA, to go along with a .947 save percentage and 1 shut-out. He was also named the South Division All-Star Goaltender. Prior to his rookie season with the Capitals, McLeod played 3 seasons with the Beardy’s Blackhawks of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. BERSCHIMINSKY had a solid rookie season with the Chiefs where he went 13-2 and posted 2 shut-outs in the regular season. His regular season stats also included a 1.85 GAA and a save % of .933.
